Bike Path Closures
There are 2 bike path closures along the Arroyo Simi Greenway, due to construction. Below are the exact locations of the closures.
1. North Side closure only - from Royal Ave. to Sycamore Dr. and also the small bike trail stretch from Los Angeles Ave. running N/S (this the trail that runs behind the Park District’s offices). This closure is projected to last till the end of August, 2020.
2. South Side closure only - from Sycamore Dr. to Erringer Rd. . This closure is projected to last till the end of August, 2020.
The Arroyo Simi Bike Path runs in an east-west direction through a large part of Simi Valley. There are multi-use paths located on both sides of the Arroyo Simi Flood Control Channel that begin just west of Stearns Street and extend all the way to Stargaze Place at the west end of Simi Valley. These multi-use paths may be used by walkers and joggers, and by bicycle, skateboard and horseback riders. Some portions of the path have been recently upgraded with improved entrances located at; Sequoia Avenue, Royal Avenue, Sycamore Drive, Erringer Road and Madera Road. Phase one included an upgraded of two miles of trail entries, interpretive exhibit signs and site amenities. Phase two included newly paved trail, installation of three new trail entries, installation of three primary and two secondary gateway monument signs, installation of three signalized crossings, and interpretive and directional signage at various points along the trail.
