Public Swim Times for the 2009 Summer Season and information on the Splash Pad: The Park District has 3 places to get wet, these include two pools and one splash pad area.

POOL REQUIREMENTS AND DETAILS: Swim for fun and stay cool at one of our two pools while playing under the watchful eyes of the Rancho Simi Recreation and Park District's Lifeguard staff. Children not potty trained must wear approved swim diapers. All persons must wear bathing suits. All children under the age of 7 must have an adult (18 years of age or older) in the water with them at all times, unless the child has passed a swim test administered by a RSRPD lifeguard. The test must be passed each time the child visits the pool.

SPLASH PAD DETAILS: The splash pad is a none supervised free outdoor water play area with fountains and water canons. It provides a great way to get wet and stay cool during the hot summer days.

Monday Night Movies at the Mall - GhostBusters: On Monday nights from June 22 through August 24, a FREE movie will be shown on a 24' screen in the food court area of the Simi Valley Town Center starting at 8:00pm. Last year, many movies drew crowds of more that 300 people. All movies will be rated PG-13 or below. Adults, Teens and children can sit at the tables, bring their own chairs, or sit on a blanket in front of the screen. Unemployed parapsychologists set themselves up as "Ghostbusters" to rid New York of evil monstrous apparitions that are taking over the city. Sigourney Weaver costars as Dana Barrett, the cellist whose strange happenings in her apartment lead the ghostbusting team into the clutches of a punitory poltergeist.

Last year, many movies drew crowds of more that 300 people. All movies will be rated PG-13 or below. When Captain Jack gets taken literally to the end of the world, Will, Elizabeth and Captain Barbossa band together to bring him back in this fun filled adventure. The crew must then employ the help of the nine pirate lords in a final stand against Beckett, Davy Jones and the East India Trade.

SnowFest 2009 - Arts and Crafts Fair: The Rancho Simi Recreation and Park District is holding its 1st Annual SnowFest Arts & Crafts Fair on Sunday, November 8, 2009 from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm at RANCHO SANTA SUSANA COMMUNITY PARK in Simi Valley. The SnowFest Arts & Crafts Fair is timed to kick off the holiday gift/decoration buying season. Several tons of snow will be made at the location to facilitate sled runs and various other children’s winter activities, games, and crafts. It will be a festive occasion, bringing arts, music, crafts, games and food together in one joyous celebration.
