EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES

This section provides a list of job opportunities with the
Rancho Simi Recreation and Park District, and how to apply for a position.

For additional information, you may call the District at 805/584-4400.
The District’s Main Offices are open Monday thru Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.,
except on weekends and holidays.

Application Requirements

The following procedures apply to all applicants to be considered
for a position with the Rancho Simi Recreation and Park District.

** An applicant must submit a fully completed R.S.R.P.D. Application and a Supplemental Questionnaire, signed and dated in ink. (See below for required forms, which are available for downloading.)

** An applicant must submit their completed application forms so they arrive at the District by the filing deadline indicated on the “Employment Opportunity.”

** A postmark date of mailing will not be accepted in lieu of receipt at District by filing deadline.

** When an Employment Opportunity indicates the position is “open until filled”, interested persons are advised to apply immediately, as certain positions fill quickly.

** A resume may be attached to the "completed" application.

** Electronic (e-mailed) or faxed copies of the application forms will not be accepted.

Jobs are in the District’s Before & After School Club (K-6) and the new Teen Enrichment After School Programs located on 4 Oak Park school campuses. Jobs are Open Until Filled.

Positions to be filled are:
P/T Recreation Counselors
($8.83-$10.22/hr., non-exempt)

P/T Recreation Aides
($8.00-$8.68/hr., non-exempt)

Teen Enrichment After School Program P/T Site Director
($14.38-$16.65/hr.)

Plans, supervises and conducts a variety of enrichment leadership activities, which includes managing a recreation staff. Program is located in Oak Park. Filing deadline: Friday, May 24, 2013, 5 p.m.

Independent Contractor Position

Gymnastics Instructor
Every Saturday from 8:30 am-1:00 pm, except holidays. Classes are currently for ages 18 mos-9 years. Prior instruction or experience desired. Contact Laura Ballantoni at (805) 584-4456 or laura@rsrpd.us. Open until filled.

Independent Contractor Positions

Specialist Instructors
If you have an idea for a class or program that you would like to teach for the park district, call and speak with the person who books the classes for information on proposing a class or program. Senior programs, contact Sue, Stan, or Karen at (805) 583-6059 or (805) 584-4452. For all other programs, contact Laura (805) 584-4456.
